High-cost cancer medication now available at pharmacies
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Oncology and multiple sclerosis patients will be able to receive their high-cost medication for free at regular pharmacies, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday, following an agreement signed by the National Health Service Organization (EOPYY) and the PanHellenic Pharmaceutical Association.
The agreement includes medications for cancer and MS patients that will not require pre-approval by the Electronic Prescription System. Until now, patients had to pick up the necessary drugs, also at no cost, at hospitals and EOPYY pharmacies.
