Navy warships become tourist attractions

The Hellenic Navy has decided to dock warships at Piraeus harbor one weekend a month in order to provide an opportunity for the public to see them up close.
As announced by the Hellenic Navy General Staff, the activity was decided after taking into account the large numbers of people that visit the ships whenever opportunity is available.
According to the announcement, the first ship to dock will be the Guided Missile Fast Attack Craft Daniolos that will dock at dock 12 of the Piraeus Port Authority, accessed through entrance 11, on Friday 7 February and will remain there until Sunday, 9 February.
Visitin hours are: Friday from 15.00 to 18.00, Saturday from 10.00 to 18.00, and Sunday from 10.00 to 18.00.
