Sad records were recorded regarding the course of the coronavirus in Greece.

The fronts in Attica, in closed structures, but also in schools, have recently raised the concern to "red", a few days later and the new measures that were decided in the capital Basin.

The four sad records of the coronavirus

Four negative records were recorded yesterday. The first concerns Attica, where 212 cases were recorded, a number that is the highest in the Basin since the beginning of the pandemic, where the numbers continue to show an upward trend.

The second is the number of victims, as EODY announced 9 deaths in the last 24 hours, until the afternoon when the announcements were made. A few hours later, three more deaths were recorded.

The third negative record concerns the regional units of the whole country. In the last 24 hours, cases were recorded in 35 of them (out of 74 in total), which also happened for the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic.

The fourth concerns all cases. The 359 cases reported may be the second highest number after 372 on September 10, but then all 164 cases from the factory in Giannitsa were recorded. Yesterday the influx was only 21, which shows how serious the situation is.

New outbreak in a company in Koropi with 11 cases -New cases in schools

At the same time, outbreaks are growing. Yesterday it became known that 11 positive samples were found in employees of a company in Koropi. The company has about 150 employees and 11 positives have been found so far, however, according to SKAI, there are fears that the number will increase.

At the same time, with the opening of the schools, other cases have arisen. Yesterday it was announced that a student from Keratsini was found positive, while in a school in Glyfada a positive student was found, as announced by the mayor of the city.

Death toll at 328

EODY announced 9 deaths yesterday, however yesterday another three were added during the night, bringing the total to 328. Victims of the coronavirus are a 63-year-old in AHEPA, a 97-year-old in "Sotiria" and an 89-year-old in the same hospital, all with underlying diseases .

Intubations increased to 69

The number of intubated can also be counted as a sad record. It may not be a daily record, but the 69 who are intubated are the largest number since the pandemic began in the country.

According to EODY, the total number of cases is 14,400, of which 55.6% are men. 2,500 (17.4%) are considered related to travel abroad and 6,070 (42.2%) are related to an already known case. Of the 322 domestic cases, 21 are associated with known outbreaks, while 11 report recent travel within the country. Of the 69 intubated, 21 (30.4%) are women and the rest are men. 87.0% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are aged 70 years and older. 178 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
