Α call for help for 7-year-old Anastasia who was diagnosed with a brain tumor

From the moment that the adventure of little Anastasia became known, a love marathon, a movie screening has been organized, while dozens of piggy banks have being placed in shops in Kalamata and Messinia, in order to raise money. At the same time, many stores offer part of their income for this sacred purpose, while even a Facebook group under the title "For Anastasia - Kalamata", has been created to find the necessary money.

On October 25, Anastasia's parents, Elias Triantaphyllakis and Xenia Prezerakou, posted a text explaining the 7-year-old's condition.

"Everything that is happening in Kalamata, really surpasses us, is for us a source of strength and hope for what we are experiencing and what we have to face. Apart from a huge thank you, we need to share some things with you, as we feel that we are not alone in this. Our Anastasia has an aggressive form of childhood cancer in the brain, which is not operable. The usual treatment of the disease has low prognosis. "We have been in contact with three research projects, which deal with cases like those of Anastasia, in Texas, in Columbia, New York, led by the Greek neurologist Mr. Zacharoulis, and in Cologne," Anastasia's parents said in the post-appeal.
