One more actress denounces sexual abuse by actor

Featured One more actress denounces sexual abuse by actor

A few days ago, Penelope Anastassopoulou together with Anna-Maria Papacharalambous and Lena Drosaki reported to the Association of Greek Actors a well-known actor and director for insulting sexual dignity and workplace bullying.

Last night, Penelope Anastassopoulou, in a post on Instagram, promised that she would never allow a child to be abused again, while she raised a series of demands, including "opening the dialogue for the development of the legal framework regarding respect for personality, gender, nationality and the right to diversity of all people ".

The post of Penelope Anastassopoulou
"Before I made the decision to speak, I stood in front of this statue that I have hurriedly passed so many times and I promised myself that I would never again allow anyone to abuse any mother's child in any way.
I call for a dialogue on the evolution of the legal framework for respect for the personality, gender, nationality and the right to diversity of all people.
I ask for immediate and easy access to those institutional tools that will protect me when someone in my workplace violates my personality in any way or abuses me psychologically or physically.
Not only in the theater, but in all workplaces, even in the family environment.
I ask that we set rules and limits and extend the time frame that one has at one's disposal to denounce one's tyrant.
I ask that we agree that the concepts have the same meaning for everyone so that we can speak the same language, since apparently even "no" for some means incorrectly "maybe", even "yes".

NO means NO.

I ask for rules that will impose respect on the working mother, especially during pregnancy and childbirth.

I ask for the obvious.

Theater needs light and ethos.
And freedom, virtue, and courage.
The road is open.
Do not be afraid.
Fear is the opposite of love.
If you have been a victim, talk about what happened to you. Not only to punish the perpetrator and to stop his course. Your courage will be the one that will stop anyone who thinks of becoming one of them.
I ask for humanity, compassion, and transparency.
I ask all of you to take a stand when you witness abuse or exploitation.

To the competent bodies that shape our lives:

"I beg them to review the laws that do not help victims speak but instead make it easier for perpetrators to loaf."
