Journalist Giorgos Karaivaz gunned down outside his home

Journalist Giorgos Karaivaz fell victim to a murderous attack outside his house in Alimos.
The perpetrators executed him with a firearm. The journalist reportedly received six bullets as he got out of his car, having previously finished his job on a TV show on Star channel and returning home. It remains unknown whether the perpetrators were watching him or had set up a trap outside his house.
A policemanhunt is in progress .. and extensive investigations by DIAS police officers in the area for suspicious cars and motorcycles. Police are already gathering information from residents of the area, while looking for material from security cameras.
Giorgos Karaivaz for years covered police and crime news reporting in various Greek media and lately he worked at Star and was the administrator of the site with police news bloko.gr. He was known for his accurate and very calm reporting and was considered an excellent colleague in Greek media.
