Mitsotakis and Bulgarian PM Petkov jointly open valve to supply IGB pipeline
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov on Friday jointly opened a valve that allowed natural gas to fill the pipeline Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria (IGB), after the conclusion of an inauguration ceremony in the northern Greek city of Komotini.
Wearing protective helmets and high-visibility vests, the two prime ministers climbed onto a small platform that gave them access to the valve, which they turned to the applause of those present.
In his speech, the prime minister noted that the pipeline, in addition to transporting natural gas, was also a conductor of common values between Greece and Bulgaria.
