Patras child murders: Mother accused of killing her eldest daughter also charged with murdering her two younger daughters

Two Athens public prosecutors on Monday added two murder charges to those already faced by 33-year-old Roula Pispirigou, who stands accused of killing her nine-year-old daughter Georgina.
Strong evidence emerged, according to the prosecution, that mother-of-three Roula Pispirigou -who is remanded since April for the killing of her eldest daughter Georgina- took the lives of her two youngest children, three-year-old Malena and six-month-old Iris.
The mother, who comes from the city of Patras in the Peloponnese, was arrested in March after toxicological and histological tests carried out earlier this year had revealed ketamine - reportedly not prescribed by any doctor - in the body of Georgina, who died in January 2022.
A recent coroners' report had said that the deaths of Georgina's younger sisters were not the result of natural causes, but of asphyxiation.
