However, they say they are looking into another video, which shows a man with a bat hitting the 29-year-old, but it is not known if he is the same man who ended up stabbing him. Police are re-analyzing the footage they have of him while collecting more.

Lifting privacy and special software to measure biometric features

By Thursday, August 17, the results of the DNA tests and of the arsenal of the hooligans seized at the scene of the incidents are expected, which may shed more light on the murder of Michalis.

The DNA found on Michali's body unfortunately does not seem to help so far.

For this reason the police will use a special software that measures the biometric characteristics as in the videos most of the perpetrators wearing full face masks.

So with this software they can measure their body biometrics and if they have a suspect it can help to identify him.

The sports violence security sub-directorate is continuing its investigations while it believes there is an equal chance that the killer is either Croatian or Greek.

At the same time, as reported by SKAI television, the police officers are in consultation with the prosecution authorities for the issuance of a prosecution order for the removal of telephone confidentiality.

When the "green light" is given, probably within the week, the police intelligence analysis department will proceed with scans of mobile phone antennas that have been connected to the places where the hooligans were found, such as at the Irini station and outside the "OPAP Arena ».

The aim of this difficult process is to identify the traces of the mobile phones of those involved in the incidents and thus lead the authorities to those who are still on the run.
