A great act was done by Mrs. Athena Papachristou from Messolonghi who donated an ambulance to the Messolonghi hospital with money from her savings.
Ms. Athena spoke to SKAI channel and explained how she decided to proceed with this act.
In fact, she received a phone call from Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who - according to information - told her that her act was great and that when he is in Messolonghi he will visit her at her home. It is noted that the president of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, also called her.
As she said, when her husband was alive, she often needed to take him to Patras.
"He was sick for 12 years, we needed to go to the hospital and they couldn't send us an ambulance, I went through a lot, I used to take a taxi", he said and added that he receives a pension of 400 euros, saved, sold a field and thus managed to donate the ambulance at the hospital.
The administrator of the hospital Mrs. Filipopoulou thanked her admiring her act.
"Thank you very much, we love you, I hope it will be an example for other fellow citizens."
