Hooligan who seriously injured policeman arrested

A sports fan who seriously injured a policeman with a flare during incidents outside a game in Athens on Thursday has been arrested, police said on Sunday.
The person in question is 18 years old and he has admitted his action.
The incidents took place at the 'Melina Mercouri' sports arena in the Rentis neighborhood of Athens and resulted in the questioning of 424 people and the injury of three policemen, one of whom, 31, is in intensive care.
The police oficer is still listed in critical condition. The flare continued to burn while embeded in hiw leg severing the major artery there.
