- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
"In 12 to 18 months we will know if there will be drilling for hydrocarbons", Helleniq Energy Group CEO Andreas Shiamishis said, speaking on Thursday at the Delphi Economic Forum.
"Many things are heard for geopolitical, political or economic reasons. We have concluded the seismic surveys and we are trying to understand them. In the areas we are involved, we are 12 -18 months away from the next phase for the decision to drill and that is still a few months away from the decision on exploitation. Everything that is heard must be put in a more conservative context," he added regarding the areas where the Group operates, the Ionian Sea and the maritime area of the western Peloponnese.
Siamishis also said that the group's plans include two major investments of intial budget 3-4 billion euros on the reduction of the environmental footprint.
