- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
After months of inactivity due to the damage caused by September’s floods Daniel to the railway network, the legendary Moutzouris train resumed operations on Good Friday, restarting its routes between Ano Lechonia and Milies.
The renowned “Moutzouris” has been back on the tracks since Good Friday, resuming its schedules. Following destruction caused by storm Daniel, the line was covered with debris, taking months for the rail network to be fully restored.
Upon repair, Easter visitors filled the train’s carriages, enjoying its stunning journey through the wooded forest land and unique view offered in the region.
The train departs at 10 a.m. from the Ano Lachonia station and ends in Milies, with an intermediate stop at Ano Gatzea. “Moutzouris” covers a distance of 16 kilometers to reach its destination.
