An unprecedented case involving two police officers has occupied Hellenic Police-EL.AS. with a special guard reporting a female colleague for blackmail.
According to information, the case began to unfold last Tuesday morning (25/6) when the 31-year-old police officer filed a complaint that a female colleague was blackmailing him. In fact, in support of what he said, he also showed relevant messages that he had received on his mobile phone.
As the special guard described, he met his colleague through Facebook about 12 days before and they started communicating. When the 31-year-old decided that he wanted to cut off communication, the female police officer began verbally threatening him that she would falsely report him for abusive behavior against her and that she would cause him disciplinary problems. In fact, she warned him that if he wanted to leave him alone, he would have to give her 250 euros.
As the special guard said, he was afraid and worried about his future in the service, even a possible dismissal from the Greek Police Force, and this because his colleague is hierarchically superior to him. For this reason he yielded to her demands and paid her 250 euros at a pre-arranged appointment in Athens.
After that, the police officer continued to display the same behavior against the complainant, until on Thursday, June 20, she demanded money again, with the police officer again giving in and paying 230 euros.
The special guard then tried to block his colleague's ways of communicating with him, but she called him by phone, concealing her number, and during the phone calls repeatedly demanded that money be given to her again.
Following this, the police officer decided to file a complaint. In fact, during his examination by his colleagues, he received a call on his mobile phone from a person who had hidden his call number and during their conversation that followed in front of police officers, it emerged that she was the accused police officer.
In fact, from the dialogue between them, the complaints of the police officer were fully confirmed as the complainant asked him to meet, demanding that he hand over the sum of 250 euros to her for the third time and told him, among other things, that if he gives the money "... she wouldn't harm him."
After that, the police noted down the amount of 250 euros, "set up" the meeting, and after handing over the money to the complained police officer, they immobilized her and arrested her.
