French woman gets lost on Crete - Mother gets lost trying to find her - Both safe
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
This is no weather to get lost in the Greek countryside, so an alarm was raised early Friday morning in Crete at the Fire Department, as two French nationals, a mother and daughter, were lost on a path in Stavros Chania that leads to the Gouvernetou Monastery.
Initially, the daughter was too late to return, as a result of which her mother went out to look for her and at the same time asked for the help of the authorities. However, after a point she also disappeared.
An operation was immediately set up by a rescue team from Chania, with the two French women found after an hour in good condition, having, however, suffered a shock.
