Some 649 people housed in 39 Attica hotels after fire evacuations

A total of 649 citizens who were evacuated during the large fire that broke out on Sunday were temporarily housed in 39 Attica Region hotels, the General Secretariat of Civil Protection at the Climate Crisis Ministry said on Tuesday.
The numbers came for a platform in operation over the last two days, the ministry said, and it was set up by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels in collaboration with the ministry. A total of 174 applications were received.
