Ieronymos on Breitbart praises Trump

Featured Ieronymos on Breitbart praises Trump

Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece gave an interview to the American media outlet Breitbart, emphasizing that the “Trump election” was a positive development.

After Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Archbishop Ieronymos also gave an interview to the American media outlet Breitbart, known for its pro-Trump stance, on the occasion of the participation of its journalist Matthew Boyle in the Delphi Forum.

Ieronymos: Trump’s election is a positive development
During the interview, the Archbishop expressed positive comments about Donald Trump, describing his election as a “positive development” and himself as a “force for good in the world.”

“The election of President Trump was positive. The reforms he is trying to implement are necessary, but they require understanding and prudence,” he emphasized.

At the same time, he warned of geopolitical tensions - such as the deterioration of relations between the US and China -, highlighting the need for caution in order to avoid potential conflicts.

Ieronymos on Trump: I praise him for many reasons
"I praise him for many reasons. I believe that he can offer something positive to the world. However, it would be useful for him to show some restraint. The world is afraid of extreme changes and needs stability. I believe that President Trump can respond to the needs of the average citizen and that the Church can stand by this struggle as a source of support and guidance. Our ancestors used to say, ''If you want to go fast, go slowly and steadily,'' and this remains relevant," he added.

The Archbishop stressed the importance of the Church as a stable pillar in times of uncertainty and referred to what he described as an inner transformation of Donald Trump after two failed attempts on his life. “With steady steps, he can make a positive contribution to the world,” he concluded.

He also praised Trump for his position that there are only two genders, arguing that more and more European leaders are adopting a similar stance.
