Greek authorities are appealing for public assistance to identify a young girl whose body was found on a beach in the coastal Athens suburb of Palaio Faliro, after no one came forward to report a child missing.
The girl's body was discovered by a passerby early Sunday morning.
In a statement, the Coast Guard estimated her age to be between 3 and 3.5 years old.
She was found wearing a long-sleeved, full-body bathing suit and had no apparent signs of injury. Authorities said there have been no reports of a missing child matching her description.
The Coast Guard is urging anyone with information that could help identify the girl to contact them.
