Pelion: Violent brawl on beach after two men went nude swimming – Three arrests
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
A violent altercation broke out on one of the most beautiful yet secluded beaches of South Pelion, ending with three arrests.
According to TheNewspaper, it all began when two men from Athens decided to swim nude.
Their choice angered another man from Giannitsa, who was there with his wife and children. The heated verbal exchange quickly escalated into shoving and kicking, causing chaos on the beach.
Bystanders called the police, who arrived swiftly and detained both sides. The charges include, among others, indecent exposure and disturbance of public order.
The two Athenians filed a complaint for assault, while the other man responded with a counter-complaint, resulting in all three spending the night in custody.
On Thursday, they were brought before the Volos court, where they were granted time to prepare their statements. Their hearing is scheduled for Friday at 13:00. One party reportedly intends to submit medical reports from the Argalasti Health Center to support their case.
The incident took place at “Tzitzikas” beach, on the Milina–Trikeri road — a small, steep, and otherwise idyllic corner of Pelion, known for its turquoise waters, which this time became the backdrop for a brawl that has now escalated into a legal dispute.
