The police (EL.AS.), and in particular the Traffic Police, are on the move in view of the planned nationwide gathering of farmers at Syntagma following a decision by the Panhellenic Committee of Blocks.

In order for the mobilizations to proceed smoothly and with the least problems for the city, the installation of tractor disinfection stations at the entrances to the capital has even been planned.

Specifically, the Hellenic Police has installed two disinfection stations for sheep pox, for preventive reasons and in consultation with the farmers, at the Afidna and Elefsina toll roads, where all the tractors that will come for the rally at Syntagma will pass, which are estimated to begin arriving around 15:00.

At this moment (12:00) the first tractors have arrived at the Afidna toll roads. They will wait there for everything to gather and with a procession and patrol cars they will go to Syntagma.

As reported by EL.AS. officerss, there is continuous and good communication and cooperation with the leaders of the farmers. After disinfection, the tractors will move with the escort of patrol cars, from the gates of Attica, via Kifissos Avenue, following the route: Athinon Avenue, Omonia, opposite Panepistimiou Street to Syntagma Square, where according to the plan they will spend the night in front of the Parliament.

The police have asked farmers to park in a way that does not completely close Syntagma Square, while the buses with the demonstrators will park at Karaiskaki Square and on Syggrou Avenue, before the Columns of Olympian Zeus and then the demonstrators will move on foot towards the Parliament.

It is noted that the first rally has been scheduled by PAME at 13:00 in Syntagma Square. The central gathering of agricultural and livestock associations is scheduled for 16.00, in front of the Parliament, where the tractors will be parked, while ADEDY, student and other associations will participate in support of the farmers.

At the same time, as announced by Athens Police HQ-GADA, following an online call, a pre-gathering of various associations is expected at 13.00 in Karaiskaki Square, while the taxi drivers' associations have announced that in a sign of support for the farmers, they will park at the end of Athinon Avenue, during the passage of the tractors.

Finally, gatherings of various associations have been scheduled at Syntagma and in the afternoon, at 18.00 and 19.00.

According to an announcement by the GADA, due to the planned rallies and rural mobilizations that will take place today, Friday, February 13, 2026, emergency traffic regulations will apply in the wider area of ​​the Center of Athens and on the central road axes of Attica, which will be implemented gradually and depending on the prevailing conditions.

In this context, drivers are invited, for their best service and to avoid additional traffic problems, to avoid passing and parking their vehicles on the road network of the wider center of Athens and to follow the instructions of traffic controllers.
