Human bones that were found in an artificial lake of a hotel complex in Halkidikiare leading to an inexplicable mystery.

According to information, the bones, which were found in early March in the artificial lake, belong to at least two people and not to one, as initially estimated. Which intensifies the mystery surrounding the circumstances in which the bones were found at the bottom of the artificial lake in Halkidiki.

The discoveries of bones within two months have surpassed any other precedent in Northern Greece, with this particular case being the latest incident.

The bones were found on March 3, 2026, the day that cleaning work on the artificial lake began. The local department was immediately notified and police officers, after collecting the findings, transferred them to the Thessaloniki Forensic Service.

According to the same information, in the last few hours the forensic doctor who has undertaken the investigation of the case, Savvina Tsoultsidou, has reportedly determined that the bones belong to at least two different individuals and not to one, as initially estimated.

The bones of one individual are reportedly younger than the bones of the second individual, with experts currently claiming that they had been in the lake for quite some time.

It is recalled that the police in Halkidiki have undertaken the investigation of another incident of finding bones belonging to a woman. The bones were found inside a suitcase that was discovered during the cleaning of an agricultural and forestry area. Also, the police have not managed to identify them to date with any person who has been declared missing.
