A 35-year-old Bulgarian man is in police custody after being arrested last Saturday night in Thessaloniki on charges of espionage.
The case was revealed following a complaint from a citizen who informed the authorities that the man was flying a drone in the area. Police officers from the DI.AS. Team located him and during the check determined that he did not have the required pilot's license.
A thermal image of a former camp was found in the drone's memory
The drone in question was found in the 35-year-old's car, while during the examination of the material stored in its memory, a thermal image of the facilities of the former Farmakis camp in Kalamaria was found.
A case has been filed against the 35-year-old, with which he is expected to be taken to the competent prosecutor.>
