Greek logo online campaign hacked

Voting started last Friday, March 14 and just three days later a rigging attempt from foreign IPs was detected by the site's technicians, in spite of the security measures taken.
It's been less than a week since the three logos competing for Greek products representation at home and abroad were put to an online vote and it's already been postponed. The reason for this is a rigging attempt from abroad, detected early in the week.
The online voting was organized by the Development ministry, with the three logos making it to the final competing for the representation of Greek products around the world. It started last Friday, March 14 and just three days later a rigging attempt from foreign IPs was detected by the site's technicians, in spite of the security measures taken.
The detection came after an unusually high participation from foreign IPs was observed, with hundreds of votes registered. Since the voting is restricted to Greek IPs, the procedure had to be reset.
Three logos are competing in the contest organized by the Development ministry: A heart shaped Greek flag, a column capital shaped by the letters “G” and “R” and a small boat, the age old symbol of Greece.
The online voting will start again next Monday, March 24, so if any of you have already registered your vote, you should repeat performance come Monday.
