Demonstrators Assault Golden Offices

A group of protesters, breaking off from the anti fascist rally at Syntagma Square has been assaulting Golden Dawn Offices.
The group marched on Golden Dawn offices on Mesogeion Avenue. The building is being guarded by a police cordon, which the protesters are currently attempting to break through with homemade incendiaries and petrol bombs (molotov cocktails). Police are using teargas and flash-bang grenades to stave off the attack.
Youths still remain in the area and have set fire to trash bins. There are reports of property damage.
“Pavlos is alive, smashing nazis” was the central slogan chanted by protesters that gathered at Syntagma Square in front of parliament at the ant-fascist rally called for by the General Confederation of Workers GSEE and civil servants union ADEDY.
The rally which is still going strong at this time (20.35 Athens time) is being attended by 20,000 people according to organizersm while police give a figure of 6,000.
Police proceeded with round ups in front of the university rectorship of persons wearing masks.
