Golden Dawn MPs Give Depositions
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Four of the six arrested Golden dawn deputies are at the courts given depositions for their participation in a criminal organization, as charged.
Ilias Kasidiaris, Yannis Lagos, Nikos Michos, and Ilias Panayotaros are now facing charges, while party leader Nikos Mihaloliakos will give his deposition tomorrow, and Christos Pappas will cross court doors on Thursday.
Meanwhile three arrested party members gave depositions today. One of the three has been released, with the provision that he won't flee the country, after denying any involvement with Golden Dawn, or its ideology, and any involvement in criminal activities. Another is still being questioned, while the third requested time to prepare his statements, and will go to court again on Thursday.
Meanwhile, a confidential report compiled by intelligence agency EYP, in 2012, shows member of parliament Yannis Lagos involved in racketeering, extortion, and involvement in prostitution. Yet the report remained "buried."
