A fire that broke out in the basement of the US embassy in Athens on Sunday night caused only minor damage, authorities said. It seems that the fire was caused by a cigarette.
A computer and some documents were burned during the fire, which started at around 11 p.m.
Seven fire engines were called to the scene and the 21 firefighters present soon brought the blaze under control.
