Samaras: "SYRIZA hand-in-hand with Golden Dawn"
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Prime Minister Antonis Samaras unleashed a full frontal attack against SYRIZA against its stance onthe issue of PPC, speaking at the Economist conference. Mr Samaras said that "SYRIZA walks hand in hand with Golden Dawn."
Specifically the prime minister said: "Now, therefore, that Greece is trying to catch up in this area, some are trying to prevent it. To block it. To frustrate it," adding: "And does not hesitate to use even the members of olden Dawn, without in any way achieving anything. Such blindness, such amorality. Admire the supposedly "progressive democrats" hand in hand with Golden Dawn."
The premier commented on the privatization of PPC giving an answer to yesterday's speech by the President of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, at the same conference: "There are requirements for Greece to liberalize the energy market, like any member state of Europe. All countries do. And all benefit. They don't all do it in the same manner. Neither at the same rate. But all agree that it should be done and each chooses the way that suits it best: To abolish the state monopoly, and to repeal and its dominant position where it exists ... Why should someone make a large investment in plants and infrastructure. How can these investments be made? As in other countries of Europe: With investments of the private sector through privatization programs. Which in turn brought lower prices and better service.”
