Stiffer Fines for not Issuing Receipts
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
A fine of 1000 euros will be levied on the spot by economy ministry inspectors and police for not issuing receipts.
If the transaction involves more than 1,000 euros the fine will be double the amount of the transaction.
This is the provision of article 33 of the new bill being tendered by administrative reform ministry.
The article also foresees a payment period of 20 days, after which it is sent to the relevant tax office, thus invoking measures for forced collection.
