Athens is undoubtedly known for its classical historical legacy, a fact clearly visible by the countless archeological monuments and sites are strewn across the Greek capital.

Two well-preserved kilns of the Byzantine era were revealed in the area Gratsani in Kozani, northern Greece, during works for the construction of a sub-station at the West Askio wind farm.

The Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) announced a few days ago that a 1,500 year-old Byzantine monastery with large floor mosaics has been discovered near a Bedouin village by the name of Hura, in the Negev Desert, near Horbat Hur, a Byzantine settlement.
