In a Council of State court ruling yesterday, Greek state and insurance funds can now confiscate bank account deposits with debts, without alerting their holders.
The Council of State ruled today that the PSI was constitutional, because it was for the good of the public interest. The ruling came after an appeal by 7,000 public bond bearers.
It's been eight months since the sudden and shocking decision by the prime minister to shut down public broadcaster (ERT) and the controversy is still alive and well. On Wednesday, the Council of State delivered its positive ruling on the constitutionality of the closure.
