SYRIZA party on Tuesday accused New Democracy of having a "secret policy agenda" that sought to cancel the gains made during the SYRIZA-ANEL coalition government's seven-month negotiation, regarding a reduction of Greece's debt.

A total of 19 political parties and five party coalitions on Monday sent declarations stating their intention to run in the September 20 general elections to the Supreme Court Prosecution.

The leader of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, asked Greeks to grant him a strong mandate in the upcoming elections to give the Left a chance to govern, during a campaign speech in the town of Komotini, in northern Greece on Monday night.
