"The extension of the defense cooperation agreement between Greece and the USA, which also concerns the Souda base, confirms that the SYRIZA - ANEL government is not only continuing the policy of the previous New Democracy and PASOK governments but also further embroiling the country in the aggressive imperialist plans for the region, at a time when competition is intensifying dangerously," the communist KKE party said in a statement on Thursday.

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) on Monday released its own comment on the international conference focusing on the crimes of Communist regimes taking place in Estonia on August 23, organised by the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU. 

The Communist Party made fresh allegations of wiretapping on Wednesday, claiming its call center was intercepted today during several phone calls with third parties, including those with New Democracy and the Centrists’ Union.
