The President of the National Confederation of Hellenic Commerce (ESEE) Vasilis Korkidis expressed his opposition to the imposition of new measures by the Troika.

The president of the national Confederation of Greek Merchants Vasilis Korkidis noted that this past weekend was good for retail, adding however, that the market has shown that seven Sundays with open stores are adequate.

The government has decided to extend the pilot scheme concerning year-round Sunday opening for retail stores to 10 areas around the country, prompting the resignation of the head of the National Confederation of Greek Commerce (ESEE), Vassilis Korkides, from the commerce department of New Democracy party.
