Greece plans to rapidly expand government digital services in 2020 to try and slim down its notoriously slow-moving bureaucracy and help the country exit its pandemic recession more quickly.

The IMF estimates that the effects of the coronavirus crisis on the Greek economy will be devastating due to the hard impact on tourism.

The Greek economy remained in recession for the first half of 2016 , according to the official data released by the Greek Statistical Services (ELSTAT).
