The Hellenic Coast Guard located and rescued 55 foreign nationals in the sea region southeast of the island Farmakonissi early on Tuesday.
Twenty-nine refugees were transported to the port of Alexandroupolis with the help of a Coast Guard vessel, after being found adrift in a dinghy in the sea area between Alexandroupolis and Samothraki.
For the first time, after many months, the number of asylum seekers living in the camp of the Reception and Identification Center in Moria, Lesvos, fell below 6,000.
