A new English-speaking Department of Medicine is starting at the University of Thessaly on October 7, which will welcome 40 international students in Larissa. This is the first foreign-language department at this university and the fourth in a row, after the Universities of Thessaloniki, Athens and Crete.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Monday visited Farkadona's 1st primary school, after attending a meeting at the town hall to discuss the efforts underway for the reconstruction of the area following the 2023 floods. These are part of a greater plan for the reconstruction of Thessaly envisaging spending and investments amounting to 3.0 billion euros.

A delegation of EU Agriculture Ministers will be in the affected areas in Thessaly today, Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the invitation of the Ministry of AAT, Lefteris Avgenakis.
