The rekindling of a fire that has been burning since Saturday (July 26) on Kythira island has been contained, the Fire Department said later on Monday.

A traffic accident with an overturned tractor trailer occurred yesterday at noon on the Sparti-Tripolis highway near the tolls, causing unbelievable hassle for drivers.

A T-2 training plane crashed shortly after 8:30 on Tuesday outside Tripoli on its way to Sparta.
