The procedures for granting Greek citizenship and designating an official surname are expected to begin in the coming days for former King Constantine’s children, Nikolaos and Pavlos.
No Social Media until 15 – Ban for Elementary & Middle School children on the way
The Greek government is now moving towards prohibiting children under the age of 15 from accessing social media. Education Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis announced the proposal by the Ministry of Digital Governance for the “Kids Wallet,” a dedicated parental control application, as well as the development of a comprehensive national strategy to tackle internet addiction among minors.

Pavlos, the firstborn son of the former King Constantine, is expected to appear at the Athens registry office by the end of the week to submit an application for the restoration of Greek citizenship, which he was deprived of in the 1974 referendum, as revealed today in a column of protothema.gr.
Greek National Guard open to women
In a landmark decision, Greece will now allow women to serve in its National Guard. This historic change, announced by Deputy Minister of National Defense Ioannis Kefalogiannis, permits women who are members of the reserve forces and permanent residents of their service regions to volunteer for the National Guard.
