Greek PM – Hoger (EIB): Electricity systems become more efficient with smart meters

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met on Tuesday with the president of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Werner Hoyer. During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of further expanding Greece's important and long-standing cooperation with the EIB, the positive course of the Greek economy and its prospects, as well as the need to deal with the consequences of the climate crisis.

BoG Gov: Safety cushions are needed – When will interest rates be reduced

The governor of the Bank of Greece, Yannis Stournaras, tried to put a "brake" on the scenarios for benefits, during an interview he gave at the conference "GREECE AFTER VII: Asymmetries and national agenda", organized by the Circle of Ideas, raising the issue of review and essentially of tax exemptions. At the same time, he expressed his personal opinion, without having been discussed - as he pointed out - within the ECB, about the need to reduce interest rates from the middle of 2024, if certain conditions are met.

Skrekas welcomes complete licensing proposal for Thriasio Freight Centre investment

Development Minister Kostas Skrekas on Monday welcomed the submission of a complete dossier on a proposed 220-million-euro investment for the foundation and development of the Thriasio Freight Centre, a Single Large Unit Business Park, saying that the submission of a mature licensing proposal to the ministry was "the first and most important step for the implementation of a flagship investment."
