German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said on Wednesday it had not been an easy decision for euro zone finance ministers to extend Greece’s loan agreement by four months and much doubt remained about how credible Athens' latest reform commitments really were, Reuters news agency reported.

The Greek government pledged on Tuesday not to roll back privatisations that have already been completed and to “respect the process” in cases where the tender has been launched, opening the way for the completion of a series of major investments which had temporarily frozen.

Food stamps for the needy and the possible establishment of a minimum guaranteed income program across the country are just some of the measures the government hopes to utilize in combating what it calls a “humanitarian crisis.”
