Greek Canadian beaten severely by Cretan thugs

Emmanuel Kakoulakis, a successful stockbroker with Greek roots living in Montreal, was severely beaten by a group of Cretans, resulting in a 6-hour surgery and 60 stitches in his head, both external and internal.

The incident occurred when the Greek-Canadian stockbroker, who is in Heraklion, Crete on vacation with his family, made a remark to a group of Cretans in a coffee bar as one of them burned his hand with his cigarette.

This remark seems to have offended the Cretans, who reacted violently and severely beat the stockbroker in front of his children.

After the attack, the Canadian tourist was immediately taken to the Venizelio hospital with severe brain injuries and there he underwent a long-hour surgery to repair his injuries.

It is noted that in the previous days it became known that two of the perpetrators have been identified. In particular, it is a 31-year-old man from the village of Mylopotamos and a 32-year-old man from the area of ​​the municipality of Malevizi, while according to information, two others are being sought.

Emanouil Kakulakis continues to be hospitalized and this morning the Canadian ambassador was going to visit him, showing the support of the Canadian government to its citizen.
