The fourth extroversion event to engage the interest of Greeks who left during the economic crisis to return and work for high-level jobs offered in Greece was a success in Stuttgard on Saturday, the Labor & Social Insurance Ministry said on Sunday.
It was jointly organized by the ministry and by the Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA), and it follows similar events in Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, and London, attracting over 4,000 Greeks working abroad.
The Labor ministry acts as a 'bridge' between highly skilled Greeks working abroad and businesses active in Greece which are looking for such employees for managerial positions.
In Stuttgart, 34 leading companies operating in Greece took part, offering a total of 1,000 postings in a wide range of fields - among them, for engineers, health professionals, economists, information or sales or marketing managers, production and administration officers, and personnel with technological and digital skills.
The event attracted over 1,000 participants from Germany and neighboring countries such as France, Luxembourg, and Switzerland, showing the attraction and competitiveness of the Greek labor market. They interviewed with prospective employers, and were briefed on professional prospects in the Greek labor market.
Besides Labor & Social Insurance Minister Niki Kerameus, participating were Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Yiannis Loverdos and DYPA Governor Spyros Protopsaltis, who addressed the participants at the event.
