New Year's message from the New York City Parade Committee
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The Parade Committee of the Federation of Greek Societies of Greater New York, through its New Year's message to the members of the Federation, the participants, sponsors and supporters of the parade, as well as the volunteers and friends, on the one hand, expresses gratitude for the unqualified support, and on the other hand, calls on them to join forces to organize the most successful parade of all time.
At the same time, it indirectly but clearly refers to the diarchy and the ongoing legal dispute that is tormenting and discrediting the powerful and calls on them to strengthen the Federation and achieve its full unity in the future.
“It is the vision of a lasting unity far beyond the parade, which will guide our work throughout the year and will be an unshakable foundation for a unified, strong and vibrant Federation today, tomorrow and for generations to come,” the Parade Committee’s message emphasizes, among other things.

On behalf of the 2026 Parade Committee for the 1821 Greek Rebirth Celebrations of the Federation of Greek Societies of Greater New York, we wish you a blessed and joyful New Year filled with health, prosperity and true happiness. May the coming year bring peace to your hearts and spiritual strength, as well as the fulfillment of your hopes, aspirations and dreams for you, your families and your loved ones.
As we approach the threshold of a new year, we owe honor and gratitude to each of you. We thank you for your care, generosity and unwavering dedication.
The Federation is more than an organization. It is potentially a force for unity, for the convergence of views and talents, of people connected by a common heritage, a common purpose and an abiding love for the Greek community. Above all, we thank you for what you are, each of you, a source of inspiration and energy that strengthens the Parade Committee and enriches our community dramatically.
The New Year dawns with the promise of a new beginning, and let us, trusting not only ourselves, but above all each other, act with courage, vision and conviction, knowing that through cooperation, mutual respect and the full development of our collective abilities, we can transform our collective aspirations into achievements and the dreams of the Greek Diaspora into a lasting reality.
Guided by our common Greek heritage and inspired by the ideals that unite us, let us move forward together, not only to make the 2026 Greek Rebirth Parade the best it has ever been, but also to strengthen the Federation and achieve its full unity in the future.
It is the vision of a lasting unity far beyond the parade, which will guide our work throughout the year and will be an unshakable foundation for a unified, strong and vibrant Federation today, tomorrow and for generations to come.
With warm regards,
The Parade Committee of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York
