Nia Vardalos was in Greece for the filming of her new movie "Wedding in Greek 3" which took place in Rafina and Corfu.

Nia Vardalos and John Stamos, actors of Greek descent, and The Hellenic Initiative (THI) are launching an online campaign to help rebuild the Greek Orthodox Lyreion orphanage destroyed by wildfires in Greece last July.

Greek Orthodox Easter was on Sunday, April 8 and the Greek-American community attended Church services keeping with the faith and tradition. Celebrities were no exception, with producer-actress and wife of Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, attending the Sunday liturgy in the company of another Hollywood celebrity and professional Nia Vardalos.
