Alexandra Ouzounidou, an expatriate from Boston, USA, dedicated her degree to the victims of the Pontic Greek Genocide. And because her graduation was scheduled for May 19, she felt she had no other choice but to receive it wearing Pontic costume, in order to honor her ancestors who died and were so unjustly exiled from their ancestral homelands.
