Four-day Greek Festival in Whitestone

Featured Four-day Greek Festival in Whitestone

The Greek Orthodox Community of the Holy Cross in Whitestone, Queens is feverishly preparing for the four-day Greek Festival, which will begin on the afternoon of Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. with the blessing of the altar by the priestly leader, Fr. Nikolaos Paros, and will conclude on the evening of Sunday, June 8, 2024 at 9:00 p.m.

The festival will provide the opportunity for thousands of visitors from Queens and other areas of the New York metropolitan area to enjoy Greek and Cypriot delicacies and the famous loukoumades, to spend pleasant moments with their families and to be re-baptized in Greek Christian traditions. Admission is free to the public.

The festival will be a destination not only for lovers of Greek gastronomy and culture in general, but will also function as a meeting place for families, as the Luna Park will also be open, as in previous years.

As in previous years, the community has also arranged for a rich lottery.

The festival is one of the largest cultural and fundraising events of the community, as its proceeds will be allocated to support its educational, cultural and charitable programs.

The community of Holy Cross is located at 11-05 150th Street, Whitestone, NY 11357.
