Will Karagounis head EPO?
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Dimitris Melissanidis mentioned Giorgos Karagounis at yesterday's press conference, as an option to assume the chair of EPO as the replacement of Giorgos Sarris. Immediately this "spur of the moment" thoughtof the AEK leader found supporters and the script begins to come seriously into play.
After PAOK, who would see this development favorably, it was the turn of Panathinaikos to speak in favor of the proposal stating openly that it is extremely positive to see Karagounis in the presidency of the Greek federation.
The "Greens" say they do not support this proposal just because Karagounis is their own “spawn”, but because they see this man who has been honored as few Greek football all these years, as the most fit for the post.
However, Giorgos Karagounis, has so far not taken a position on the matter.
