Olympic Games: Greek participations on Tuesday 6 August

Emmanouil Karalis delivered an impressive performance in the pole vault final yesterday, securing the bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games! The remarkable Manolo cleared all heights on his first attempt up to 5.90 meters, missed once at 5.95 meters, and then at 6 meters, but he had already secured the first Olympic medal of his career and the 6th for the Greek delegation (the first in athletics) at the Paris Olympics.
The Greek national teams in basketball (at 12:00 against Germany) and women’s water polo (at 20:00 against Australia) will also fight in their quarterfinals on the 11th day of the Olympic Games in the French capital.
In sailing, Cameron Alexander Maramenides will compete on the 3rd day of the formula kite event, while siblings Ariadne and Odysseas Spanakis continue in the mixed 470 event.
