Panathinaikos AKTOR, under the excellent leadership of Kostas Sloukas, won the seventh European trophy in its history.

Continuing its erratic performances in Europe’s top basketball competition, Panathinaikos BC pulled off an impressive win against one of the fancied teams of the Euroleague competition, Anadolu Efes Istanbul at home.

Greek champions Panathinaikos were defeated (74-73) by Real Madrid for the Euroleague basketball in round 29 of the competition’s regular season at a packed OAKA in Athens on Thursday night.
