The Times includes Lipsi among Greece’s most peaceful islands

Featured The Times includes Lipsi among Greece’s most peaceful islands

The Greek island of Lipsi has been featured among a list of the best Greek islands with a more tranquil atmosphere, published by the British newspaper The Times

In its extensive feature, the The Times highlights harder-to-reach destinations that offer a different perspective on a Greek holiday experience.

The article noted that, although Greece is home to thousands of islands and islets, only a small proportion are inhabited, and several of these remain largely untouched by mass tourism.

Lipsi occupies a prominent place in the ranking, with The Times describing it as an island of “ myths and legends”. According to local tradition, the island is associated with the nymph Calypso and Odysseus.

The feature added that Lipsi has retained its mythical charm, with modern-day visitors are captivated above all by the island’s "incredible beaches" and the "enticing turquoise waters" that surround its coastline.
